Since January 1, 2005, the OVAM (Openbare Vlaamse Afvalstoffenmaatschappij), the Flemish organisation for waste management requires inspection and compliance with the Achilles prevention system in terms of safety, health and environmental impacts for all soil remediation sites.
For its first site in Flanders under monitoring of the OVAM, ODSI proudly obtained its first Achilles certificate in 2014, for its prevention efforts in safety, health and environment. The certificate is valid for an operational period of 3 years.
ATEX certification is guaranteed to each client for DS-500 installations.
The remediation of contaminated soils often occurs in areas at risk from explosive atmospheres. In these areas at risk called “ATEX zones”, all activities need to be brought into conformity with the ATEX European directives.
In the framework of DS 500 installations, ODSI has received a generic ATEX certification type II 2 G / EEx d IIB T4 / EEx d IIB T4, which is compliant with European directive 94/9/EC of March 23, 1994.
The MASE certification rewards a management model whose objectives are:
-on the one hand, the permanent improvement of the company in the fields of Safety, Health and Environment,
-and on the other hand, a model of organization and communication which improves the conditions of intervention and the management of the risks on site.
In addition to a common MASE-UIC certification, the MASE reference system provides all the information necessary to build or improve the safety management system.
The company ODS International has obtained the MASE certification from January 12, 2021 to January 10, 2022.
Because of the acquisition of the Dynaskim® business by Haemers Technologies, the MASE certification of ODS International has been discontinued.
In Belgium, the “Brussels environment” environmental management body forces all remediation companies operating in the Brussels Region to be approved and registered as a “Soil remediation contractor”.
ODS International has been licensed and registered as a “Soil remediation contractor” with Brussels environment since September 2013.
ODSI guarantees perfect compliance with the General regulations for electrical installations (RGIE) and standards applicable in Belgium, but also compliance with local regulations for each country of destination.
Each installation is controlled either before the shipping of the workshop, or after installation on site, periodically, following the regulations in force in the country of installation.
ODSI possesses a valid electrical certificate for each installation in operation.
